Matt Hawes broke the Canadian record in the men’s 200 backstroke on Friday night at the 2007 Spring Nationals / Pan Am Games Trials … in the A final. Both Pierse and Hawes will be in the running for nomination to both the 2007 Pan American Games … record was held by Keith Beavers set at the Pan Pac Trials last year in a time of 1:58.97. Annamay

The women’s 4×100 medley relay team of Caitlin Meredith, Annamay Pierse, … announced the 2007 Pan American Games team that will represent Canada this summer in Rio de Janiero … in a time of 4:10.27. The old record was also held by the Dolphins set last summer at the Pan Pac Trials
