The Daytime Emmy Award nominees were announced on The View Wednesday morning (strange, I know). CBS leads the nominations, but there is no big shopper there. Their soaps and game shows are much better than the others. My story, “The Young and the Restless” lead the pack over all. CBS News, however, did not get nominated for the “CBS Early Show.” ABC, NBC and CNN were nominated in the morning program category. I was, however, shocked to see “Cash Cab” on Discovery channel got two nominations.

From May 12th through 22nd, over 170 top rifle and pistol shooters will compete for spots on the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team at the Smallbore Shooting Trials. The event will be held at Ft. Benning’s International Shooting Complex in Columbus, GA, home of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU).
